What is a driver?
A driver is a piece of software that allows the proper communication of the operating system and the devices. Device drivers are computer programs that operate or control different devices attached to your computer. The device drivers allow the software interface to interact with hardware. The external devices connecting to your computers like the printer, mouse, Wi-Fi, and webcam requires device driver for its proper working, so an outdated drive can make the devices stop responding.

Update drivers using Device Manager
Did your printer is misbehaving or not responding? Does your monitor is displaying distorted images? Did you get the message ‘Device is not working’? Your system gets may some system crash or blue screen of death issues due to a faulty driver. In Windows 10, the drivers for network adapters, monitors, printers, and video cards, are automatically downloaded and installed through the Windows Update. You can also manually update the device driver from the Device Manager. Type Device Manager in the Windows search box. Click Device Manager, to open the device manager. Click the list of the device in the category to see the attached devices and right-click the device to update the driver. In the popup menu, click Search automatically for updated driver software, if the Windows cannot find the new driver, you can visit the manufacturer’s website to download the latest driver, follow the instructions from the manufacturer to install the driver. To reinstall the driver uninstall it first. To uninstall, right-click the device name, in the popup menu click uninstall. After uninstalling restart your PC, Windows will attempt to reinstall the driver after rebooting the system. It is a good idea to download the device driver from the manufacturer’s website before uninstalling the existing driver.
