It is now easy to click a shot using our phone. From family functions to official events can capture and share using mobile phones camera. The latest technologies and the high-resolution sensor chips make capturing stunning visuals is an easy job that anyone can do. The smartphone industry replaced the basic point and shoot camera segment. As the new smartphones can offer image quality better than an average point and shoot camera can take. Moreover, we need to carry a seperate device to capture images, your phone will do. But, how to transfer the captured images to your computer or laptop.

It is a daunting task, to transfer photos and videos from your phone to your computer, first, connect your phone to the computer with a proper USB cable. You can use a micro USB to USB cable to connect your phone to PC. Check your phone is on and unlocked. Open My Computer to check your phone is detected and displayed there or not. If not, in Android phone, you need to change the USB setting to allow you to transfer media or photos. Just check the top menu on your phone, you can see a dialogue box saying, use USB for, Transfering media files, Transfering images, charging. Most of the time charging is the default option. Change it to Transferring media files. On iPhones, first ensure your phone is unlocked, and when you see the Trust this device notification, select Accept.

You can also copy photos using photos app. In your PC, click the Start button and select Photos to open the Photos app. Select Import there you can see two options, From a folder and From a USB device. Select From a USB device option, the next screen shows the instructions to transfer the photos, just follow the instructions. If your device is not recognized by your PC, you need to enable Transferring media files option first (look like the below image). You can select the items you want to import and select where to save them.

Transfer to Cloud
Google Drive offers 15GB free space, you can transfer your photos or files to Google drive fast and it can download from Google drive to your computer.

Transfer to External Disks
You can use an OTG enabled pen drive to transfer files to pen drive first then to the computer.
