You may noticed that now most of the products comes with a small black square printed on it. These are QR codes. QR Code is the abbreviated from Quick Response Code, which is the trademark for a type of matrix barcode (or two-dimensional code) first designed for the automotive industry. When you analysis the code you can see that the code consists of black modules (square dots) arranged in a square pattern on a white background.   The information encoded can be made up of four standardized kinds ("modes") of data (numeric, alphanumeric, byte/binary), or through supported extensions, virtually any kind of data. QR codes are Invented in Japan by the Toyota subsidiary Denso Wave in 1994 to track vehicles during the manufacturing process. It was designed to allow its contents to be decoded at high speed.

   Now, how to read the QR codes? To read QR codes, you need a QR code scanner app. Google, Goggles and NeoReader are free apps available on Android, Windows Phone and iOS devices. Kaywa reader has also app for Android and IOs devices. If you are using a BlackBerry device then you can use QR Code Scanner Pro. To read the QR code using your mobile device, first you need to launch the app, the point the phone’s camera towards the QRcode and it will automatically show you the contents. If your phone has an active internet connection, it will display the pages or content associated with the QR code.
