Google Plus is the Google’s alternative to Facebook. Google Plus is a social networking platform developed by Google. Instant updates to circles, hangouts to sharing, photo uploads to tagging, all can done with Google Plus.
Circles
You can organize people, organize streams using circles. Through circles you can organize people into groups. Circle organization is done through a drag-and-drop interface. After creating a circle, a Google+ user can share specific private content to only that circle. You can use Circles to control the contents to your own Stream. A user may click on a Circle on the left side of the page and the Stream portion of the page will contain only posts shared by users in that Circle.
Stream
Stream occupies the middle of three columns on the page, users see updates from those in their Circles.
+1 Button
Google Plus has a nice feature, it has a “+1 button”, it allows people to recommend sites and parts of sites, much similar to Facebook’s Like button
Hangouts
This feature helps users to chat, voice, and video conference between users. But was removed from Google+ after the redesign and made accessible through its own Hangouts homepage and mobile applications.
