Google maps and other navigation apps changed the way we are traveling and locating a place. Maps and navigation apps are some of the finest applications to help us to commute easily to known and unknown locations. Google Maps is a reliable mapping service providing location information through satellite imagery.
First, open Google maps, type the partial address or the name of a place in the search box. Press the Enter button or click the Search icon. You’ll see search results as red mini-pins or red dots, where mini-pins show the top results. The purple ones are ads. On clicking the red pin the address will be displayed on the left panel. You can copy the address by clicking the copy button. Right-click on the red mini-pin, in the new pop-up menu, click on What’s here?. The address and longitude and latitude information of the location will be displayed.
To find places of interest, look for mini-pins that show you nearby locations. The pin helps to accurately mark a point on a map. The design of the pin is circular at the top, but tapers into a point at the bottom, forming an inverted teardrop shape. You can also add your location in Google Maps, open Google Maps, sign in to save your home and work address in Google Maps. Then click My Places. On this page, click Set home location or Set work location and type in your complete addresses to be able to access these on every device.

To get more information about a place, select a mini pin on the map or drop a pin on the map or search for a specific place. You’ can see information about the place like the address, hours of operation, phone number, website, and ratings or reviews.
