Browser extensions are sample computer programs intended to extend the functionality of a Web browser. The Web browser is an application to locates, access and view websites. The browser translates the HTTP programmed sites into a human-readable format. A wide variety of web browsers are available with different features. Google Chrome, Microsoft Edge, Mozilla Firefox, Apple Safari, and Opera are some common browsers. The Extensions or Add-ons or Plugins are small programs that add new features to your browser. You can use the apps to create or edit documents, manipulate photos, play with music, and play games. Some extensions work like regular websites. Some extensions work like a software program on your desktop.
Google Chrome
To view extensions, open Google Chrome, at top right click More, in More tools go to Extensions (you can also type chrome://extensions). To install an app go to Chrome Webstore. Find and select the app that you want. Click Add to Chrome. To remove an app, open chrome://apps. Right-click the app and Remove from Chrome. A message will appear to ask about removing the app, to remove the app, click Remove.
Microsoft Edge
In Microsoft Edge, in Settings and more>Extensions. In the extensions list select the extension you want, click Get to install. To remove an extension in Settings and more>Extensions. Select the extension you want to remove and select uninstall.
Mozilla Firefox
In Firefox you can get extensions from Firefox Browser Add-ons. In Firefox, click Settings, then click Add-ons (Ctrl+Shift+A). In Add-ons click Extensions, you can manage your installed extensions here. To Remove or Manage an extension, click the settings button seen on the right side of each extension, a pop-up menu is displayed showing Remove, Report, Manage). You can Enable or Disable extension using the sliding button.
