The router is a networking device that forwards data packets between computer networks. It performs the traffic directing function on the internet highway. A router in the home network shares a single internet connection between multiple computers. The wireless router offers high-speed wireless data communication. The Wi-Fi Protected Setup lets you add your devices to your internet network securely.

Obtain the Default Username and Password
If you are using the router for the first time, and want to obtain the IP address, user name, and password to access the routers web interface, just check the backside of the router. There you can find a sticker showing the Web interface access URL, username and password. Most of the new routers have a sticker in its backside displaying the default username and password to login to the routers admin page. You can change the password later. If you couldn’t find the password at the back of the router, check the routers manual or routers installation instruction.
First, check the router sticker is available at the bottom or not? If no stickers related to user name and password. Then check the user manual or installation manual. If you couldn’t anything, you can try using a common default username and password combinations. Use admin as user name and for password leave it blank. If it is not, try again with admin as user name and password. you can also check routerpasswords.com to find the common password available for each router.
Reset Router To Factory Settings
If it is not working and you are sure that you have added a personalized password and has the least chance to recollect it, then you can reset the router to factory default settings. Check your router for pinhole button which is named as Reset. The location of the Reset button may vary for every model. To reset the Linksys router to factory defaults, press and hold the Reset button for 10 seconds. Make sure that the Power LED of the router is blinking when you press the Reset button, it indicates that the router is being reset properly. Resetting your router to factory settings will reset your router’s password. After pressing the Reset button, unplug and re-plug the router’s power adapter. If you have forgotten the password of D-Link router, you can reset the router to factory defaults. To reset a D-Link router, power on the router, then press and hold the reset button which is located at the back of the router for 10 seconds and release. The lights on the front of the router should all flash and reboot.
Wireless Password Recovery
If you have forgotten your wireless password, you can also recover it. Connected your wired or wireless router, then open your favorite browser and type the IP address of the router in the address bar. For D-Link router, the default IP address is 192.168.0.1. At the login, enter the username as admin and for password-enter nothing, leave it blank. Click on the Setup Tab at the top and click wireless settings on the left side menu.
